McCall's has a fantastic continous bias binding tutorial! I recommend watching the video, then when you're in need of a refresher you can skim through the provided text instructions.
It's a great way to use the donated fabric stash! The ticking fabric (shown in this photo) goes great with the jeans making a nice looking non-gender specific apron. The aprons may vary slightly depending on the jeans. It's quick (after I've made the binding) and easy - just what I need! I don't want to be distracted from making the prayer quilts but needed to pause to raise funds for the ministry... so I can make more quilts to sew to serve!
Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. This is the first time posting from my iPad so I hope it post ok!
That's a fantastic way to use up denim clothing. And a good idea for fund raising for the ministry. Aprons are good gift ideas for anyone - male or female - indoor cooking or outdoor grilling! How much are you selling them for?
ReplyDeleteThank you Simone! The neck strap is adjustable too, to make it easier for men or women to wear. I also sew a label in the inside of the apron, behind the pocket that reads ' Thank you for your donation to the prayer quilt ministry...' I'm selling them for $15.
